Manchester united played Villareal in their penultimate group stage champions league encounter.The match was expected to be draw as both teams failed to score in their previous 3 meetings.Villareal were very defensive.The match was scrappy.United tried to dominate proceedings but they could not get their passing right.Ronaldo started the game even though he had plenty of knocks in his legs.
The second half was a bit interesting with villareal trying to attack more.Ronaldo had an excellent oppurtunity in the 2nd half when he tried to hit the ball into the right top corner but his shot hit the crossbar.The match was mostly played in midfield through out the 90 minutes.The match ended 0-0 and both Manchester United and Villareal progressed to the knock out stage.
