The Second Test between Australia and New Zealand got underway in Adelaide today. It was said to be a batting wicket and New Zealand won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first. They went in with one change where Fulton came in place of Elliot. Australia too had one change. They replaced Nathan Hauritz for Shane Watson. The openers gave a decent enough start before How fell for 16 of the bowling of Johnson. Redmond on the other end was playing attacking cricket. He along with Redmond took the score past 100. But Ryder and Redmond both fell to the off spin of Hauritz. Redmond departed for a well made 83. Taylor and Fulton had a good partnership as they took the score to 194. At this stage Fulton fell and soon Taylor too followed. Flynn got a beauty of a delivery from Lee. Both Vettori and McCullum safely guided the Kiwis to close of play without losing further wickets. At stumps the score was 262 for 6 with the last recognized pair at the crease.
